K for Kindness

This is for all the beautiful strangers I have came across in my life. Thank you for your kindness.

In an afternoon rendezvous,

With my best friend,

Topics of unfortunate events was the main conversation,

But as we’re about to pay,

The waiter smiled and say“Your bill has been paid by someone”,

Thus we went home with a smile carved on our faces.

I walked through among fishes of people,

Cranky and cantankerous,

Nevertheless, a beautiful lady passes me by,

And she said “I like your outfit”,

I feel a sudden of calmness,

Exuberance fills my heart.

After a stressful day at workI walked to my car,

Pitter-patter of rain, hit my head,

Unexpectedly,

A car passes me,

And the driver utter“You look good”.

I felt the rain stop all of the sudden,

Dear kind strangers,

I may never know who you are,

But without a doubtYou lift up my day,

And make me believe,

The world is still full of kindness,

Through your random act of kindness,

It may be a zilch to you,

As for me it was something immense,

No act of kindness, is ever too small.

Dear Mr Soulmate

Hey Mr Soulmate,
I hope you will find me soon. I know it’s not an easy path but hopefully one day you’ll find your way. Perhaps these might help you.
I live for the little things in life. A good scent, sunrise and sunset, my family and friends, children’s laughter, sounds of the waves, breakfast by the pool………..and other little things.
I like traveling. I hope you do too. I don’t travel much but I am fortunate enough to see some wonderful places,of different cultures and lifestyle. Sicily Island is the land of smile and laughter, whereby its scenery is picturesque. As for Laos, their laid back lifestyle charms me and of course their famous Mekong River. Those are my favourite so far. I’d like to visit Bucharest, Zagreb, Santorini Island and a lot more. Perhaps you could accompany me?
My ideal weekend would be lazing around at home, while we read our books. I hope you like to read, since I find a knowledgeable man attractive. I also love walking a along sandy beach or at the park :).
When you get tired from work, I’ll make a tea for you, and give you a massage. I’ll prepare your favourite meal too. I’ll make you a good breakfast every morning and I’ll put on a tie for you, along with a peck on your cheek as you rush through the door.
I hope you have a big heart, full of kindness. But at times you might want to be strict with me. Don’t let me get my way all the time.
Though I might seem like a girly type, I am quite independent.
I would dress nicely everyday, not to impress others, but to impress you. I want you to feel proud being with me because I know I would feel the same.
I love cuddling :).
Sometimes I may gain some weight, but please bear in mind, I’ll try hard to shed it.
Please be patient with me, because I could be so blur at times, too girly and I am such a chatterbox.
I am a coffee addict and a chocoholic ;).Archies and ZITS comics makes my day.
I may not be as clingy or possessive as you would expect but that does not mean that I don’t love you,it means I trust you. I hope you could do the same :)
BUT
Despite all that, I just hope that when you finally find your way,I hope that you will just accept me as who I am, help me grow along the way, and bring the best out of me.
MOST IMPORTANTLY,

Just love me with all your heart.

More on life?

These quotes came about either when I was extremely happy or sad. These are the things I have learn in life. Not necessarily true, but it is what I have discovered along in this journey of life. I am sure my journey will not end anytime soon, whereby I will encounter more obstacles and hopefully will get through it but as for now, this is what I have learn. I put in some pictures as well which represent all good things in life :)

Love should always put in constant happiness, not misery. We have often mistaken it.

The scariest part about life is not about getting through the rough patch but the uncertainty of getting through it.

Those who live a reckless life are those who have tasted life.

We often forget to appreciate those who are close to us. Sometimes tragedy happens just to remind us to be grateful for having them in our life.

Though surrounded by many, loneliness always tags along.

When silence is around, loneliness creeps in.

Loss is a tragedy, but losing oneself is the worst tragedy of all.

When you make a wrong turn in your life, it does not mean that you’re lost. It is just another opportunity to find another way out.

I have learned that: Love is an acceptance and an understanding between two souls. It is not an agreement or a negotiation

Sometimes in life, there would be a time when you'll be reminded of whom you are and what you want. It may come in a very surprising way :)

Shameful feeling

Emptiness and sadness
Are my two best friends of late
Though my world is coloured
By tonnes of big hearts and lovely souls
Still,
I am caught in this whirlwind emotions
Craving, Waiting, Wanting
For something more out of “this”
So those two could disappear
And so it crosses my mind
They call it ungratefulness

Your Birth Celebration

This poem is dedicated to a good friend of mine, Rashida Rafar. Happy birthday babe!

My Dear Friend

A great girl is who you are
For in your craziness
Lies a kind-hearted soul
For that I am lucky to have met you
And able to call you my friend

Another candle is to be added to your cake
Which marks another year in your life
And I hope it will be filled with all things beautiful
With endless laughter
Bountiful happiness
And overflowing love

Welcome to the quarter life century club I shall say
While you make a wish
Lets not count the candles
Lets count your blessings instead
For you're surrounded by many
Who loves you
And makes your life richer
And more beautiful than ever

Happy birthday :)

Another Daniel At Breakfast

Promises are hard to keep.Especially when you make a pact with yourself.I tell myself every time that I would spend more time, updating my blog and read more books. But more often than not I found myself breaking those promises. This time, I think that maybe, just maybe I should promise myself that I will at least update it once a week.So I came up with a poem to restart this blog ;)

This poem I wrote, was inspired by the original poem by Phyllis McGinley.Everyday, when I flip through the newspaper I feel angry, or sad with whatever that is happening in the world.Yet I am not brave enough to leave my comfort zone to make a change or at least lift a finger to help make our world a better place, instead I wait for the world to change. A very shameful confession ;(.

As I sat at the cafe,
Enjoying my sauteed mushroom with toast,
Accompanied with a cup of freshly brewed coffee,
I flipped through my morning read,
Whereby these pieces of papers.
Narrated various stories,
Of endless social illness,
Poverty,pollution,economy,subsidies
And the shocking slaughter of Mari Marvara,
Thus,my heavy heart cried with sympathy and solicitude,
But it is also crammed with exasperation and execration,
And yet,as the last page came to sight,
I ordered another cup of coffee,
Whilst I chatted away happily on my Blackberry,
Shame to admit with that,
It makes me nothing more than just another,
