When life provides me with hardships,
You pick up my late night calls and listen to me cursing my life away,
Then, you offer me words of wisdom,
Although, when I refuse to listen, you scolded me
Just so that I won’t mourn my life away
When life presents me with heartaches,
You let me dash into your house, hug me and cry with me
Then you help me fix my heart, and hand it back to me
And make sure it is filled with love again
And a abundance of happiness
When life load me with joyfulness
You help me celebrate my life,
Dance with me throughout the night
And laugh out loud with me
For all of that, I am thankful that our paths have crossed
For you help me be who I am today
Able to stand tall, and face the world for another day
