Take me back to " Summer of 69"

I remember the dance,
The dance,
That craves a smile on my face,
The dance,
That brought up sounds of laughter,
The dance,
That lit up the whole room,
My heart was full of contentment,
Over flown with gratefulness,
As it dance to this song,
It is the dance of love and happiness,
For I and my heart,
Dance with you and your soul,
Encircle with love, and more love,
So I say,
Take me back,
Take me back to the “Summer of 69”,
Where I stay and linger in your arms,
And there were only two of us.

Mezzanine

I had a quiet conversation today,
On the second level, overlooking the crowd,
With songs of love as a lullaby,
And black coffee as my companion,
There was no more angry argument,
There was no more roar of laughter,
Just as monotone, plain quiet one
For I actually had my conversation
With an empty chair instead
Whereby last time it was filled by you
